Bessemer & Lake Erie KeyIn my opinion looks to be an unmarked Slaymaker hallmark key. Front has B&LE for the Bessemer & Lake Erie railroad. Back side has serial number 2014. This particular switch cut is for the Car Department Rip Track. A harder key to find from this road. Example shows moderate pocket wear and displays well.

front has all the letters still legible

Key is dated roughly 1900's to 1920's

This key has the later switch bit that was used

Condition is good to very good

Front side has WC Ry stamped for the Wisconsin Central Railway

Back of the lock has MoPac Lines

Size of lock is 3 1/2 by 2 1/2 inches

95 percent of these keys have the small Adlake

One of the many short line railroads that existed inside Chicago that transported material from International Harvester to Wisconsin Steel mill

Won't find a much better looking key needed for that Maintenance of Way lock
