Description

Agave shawiiCoastal Agave, Shaw's Agave: Clump forming evergreen CA native succulent with dark gray green spiny leaves that form rosettes 2 3' tall by 2' wide. At maturity (after 20 years) a large stout red and yellow inflorescence with a purple bract rises 6 14' from the center of the rosette. Full sun to part sun in well drained soil. Low water needs with no summer water. Seacoast, wind, heat and drought tolerant. Deer resistant. Good for containers.
