August 2010 - Engine Compartment Painting & Brakes Pipework
Now that the engine compartment, inner wings and radiator shroud were finished in primer paint it was time for the finish coat to be applied to these items. The inside of the car boot lid still had its original paint which was colour matched by my local paint supplier. This turned out to be Dark Sea Grey and he was able to provide me with 'rattle cans' of the paint so that I could spray these relatively 'unseen' parts myself. New copper brake pipes were made up and new wheel cylinders and other components had been sourced for refitting, as had a pair of wings that were in better condition than my original ones.
