June - July 2011 - Unit Refitting
It was a very simple task taking less than a minute using a crane hoist to lift the engine and gearbox over the chassis legs and bolting down to their respective mounts. The badly cracked crankshaft pulley was removed, but in doing so the timing cover was damaged so both of these items were replaced. Refitting all of the engine components was an uneventful affair and the engine started up without too much difficulty on the 23rd July. The water pump was found to be leaking quite badly - it was replaced with a new item and fitted to the car without drama after draining down and removing the radiator.
