Vintage AEC S Type Bus

The plans for this wooden toy bus can found in "Fun-to-Make Wooden Toys" by Terry Forde, published by David & Charles (ISBN 139780715399682), and are obviously based on the AEC S-Type Open Top Double Decker Bus.

Associated Equipment Company (AEC) was an English vehicle manufacturer that built buses, motorcoaches and trucks from 1912 until 1979. The S-type was the third model AEC built for the London General Omnibus Co. A total of 928 S-Types were built between 1920 and 1927, 849 double-deckers and 79 single-deckers, the S-Type was considered the cream of London buses at that time.
