Tudor Style Kitchen Roombox

Always intended to be a donation to the charity 'Dogs for Disabled' (now called 'Dogs For Good'), I started the build in mid December 2010 and finished it in February 2011 – including the miniature food and utensil items.

This model is based on the Great Kitchens at Hampton Court which is illustrated in ‘The Authentic Tudor & Stuart Dolls House’, author Brian Long, ISBN 1-86108-406-4 published by Guild of Master Craftsman Publications. The modelling of the miniature food was inspired by 'Making Miniature Food and Market Stalls', author Angie Scarr, ISBN 13: 978 1 86108 215 2 also published by Guild of Master Craftsman Publications. The modelling of kitchen utensils was inspired by 'Making Doll's House Miniatures With Polymer Clay', author Sue Heaser, ISBN 0 7063 7590 4 published by Ward Lock.

The charity thought the model too good to be used as a raffle prize, and in return for a price reduction scheme for members, donated it to 'The Tudor World Museum' in Stratford-on-Avon where it is now on display.
