Tudor Doll House Ground Floor
I saw this picture in the book "Making Tudor Dolls' Houses" by Derek Rowbottom, published by Guild Of Master Craftsman Publications Ltd. (ISBN 0 946819 21 1) and thought that trying to build one like it would make a good spare time project for me.
It didn’t take long to find out that there were a few errors in the skimpy plans as shown in the book, but it did provide some good ideas and tips for the build. As the build progressed I was asked by a neice if she could have it as a christmas present for her seven year old daughter Sophie. Sophies' mother chose (and paid for) various fittings and finishings that were deemed necessary (such as specialised mouldings,lights, wiring and power supply etc.)
The project commenced on the 27th. May 2007 and was completed on 22nd. December 2007
